Police Foil Robbery Attack At Zenith Bank In Lagos

The police at Idimu Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Fayomi Solomon early on Wednesday foiled a robbery operation that took place at Zenith Bank Plc branch at Egbeda, Lagos. During the operation, one of the robbers died as a result of injury he sustain in a gun battle with the Police while the second suspect was arrested alive. The police also recovered short locally made gun and live ammunition including the motorcycle they used to operate in Lagos. It was gathered that the suspects met their bitter end when they went to the bank targeted one woman identified as Mrs Joyce Bello and snatched N40,000 she withdrew from the Bank ATM. They reportedly pointed their gun on her head and forced her to surrender the money. While they where escaping, the mobile policeman attached to the bank noticed what they did and went after them. Nri In Anambra To Sue Nnamdi Kanu For Taboo

Nri community in Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra has threatened to sue Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for alleged taboo in Nri culture. Chief Ifeanyi Onyesoh, the Personal Assistant to Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh, the traditional ruler of Nri community, announced the plan to journalists in Awka on Thursday. He said the people were angry over Kanu’s alleged misconduct. Onyesoh said Kanu with his wife, Uchechi, and supporters visited the palace of Eze Nri on July 19 and a shrine against the tradition of the people. He noted Nri ancient Kingdom is the cradle of Igbo civilisation, whose culture is revered in the five southeast states of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Anambra as well as Igbo communities in Delta and Rivers. Obi Of Onitsha Condemns Anambra Election Boycott, Insists Election Must Hold

More kicks have been given to the planned election boycott ordered by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. New among the notables to speak against the order is the Obi Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, who dismissed the order, stating that the election must hold and no one could stop it from happening. 14-Year-Old JSS3 Girl Raped & Murdered By Thugs In Lagos

A 14-Year-Old Jss3 Girl, Obiamaka Orakwue who hails from Obosi in Anambra State was raped to death in her home at Abule Ado area of Lagos state on the 10th of July. According to Anambra state online, residents living in the area said some unidentified teenage boys speaking the Yoruba dialect were seen smoking Indian Hemp at the back of the house where the deceased lived with her parents. One of the residents said that they saw them scaling the fence of the compound from the inside and when he tried to confront them, they took to their heels. Chief Innocent Chukwuma, OFR, and Innoson Nig Ltd. have filed a fresh lawsuit against Guaranty Trust Bank PLC in the High Court of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja claiming a total sum of 400 billion Naira damages for injury to their reputation, moral character, credibility, office, vocation and trade.
