A university admission-seeker simply identified as Loveth has reportedly committed suicide in Ekiugbo, Ughelli North local government area of Delta State. Loveth, who was said to be displeased with the 163 mark she garnered in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), was found dead at her home on Wednesday morning. Our correspondent gathered that the deceased picked medicine as her choice of study. The Nation gathered that the deceased took three bottles of Sniper and these were found by her side on Wednesday morning. According to sources, Loveth had gone to check her UTME result on Tuesday and discovered to her amazement that she had scored far lower than she had expected and would not secure admission to the university to study her “dream course.” The 18-year old reportedly left the centre very distraught and wept profusely.

A Nigerian man has been arrested alongside others for drug peddling in India. The suspects who have been identified as Okonkwo Basil Ndubisi alias Kevin, 30, a Nigerian, and Abbas Mustan Seer Zanjeer Barwala, 23, who hails from Mumbai and a resident of Adugodi - were nabbed by police after a tip off. Various narcotic substances were seized from the suspects, according to reports. According to DeccanChronicle, the police received a tip off about two people supplying narcotic substances to college students and software professionals. The police arrested the duo and seized 4.2 kg of ganja, 120 gram of charas and five grams of cocaine from them. “Ndubisi had come to India on student visa, which had expired and he had not renewed it. The police at Idimu Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Fayomi Solomon early on Wednesday foiled a robbery operation that took place at Zenith Bank Plc branch at Egbeda, Lagos. A 14-Year-Old Jss3 Girl, Obiamaka Orakwue who hails from Obosi in Anambra State was raped to death in her home at Abule Ado area of Lagos state on the 10th of July. According to Anambra state online, residents living in the area said some unidentified teenage boys speaking the Yoruba dialect were seen smoking Indian Hemp at the back of the house where the deceased lived with her parents.
